We subscribe to a really cool website called Classics for Kids. About once a month they send out a podcast on a composer and today, they shared a great segment on Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. All of the kids loved it, especially the Dance of the Reed Pipes. In fact, they asked me to play some of the other pieces, which I found here. Not surprisingly, the other big hit was the Nutcracker March. We danced and listened to this beautiful music all morning, even Joseph, who, admittedly, added a “slam-dance” element to the festivities.
